Welcome to Badisch Pipes and Drums!

Since 1974, we have been a fixed size in Überlingen's musical landscape and beyond. Under the direction of Rainer Mühl, we meet weekly to make music together and live our passion for Scottish bagpipe music.

With a proud 19 members, we form a harmonious community, growing together not only musically, but also personally. Our roots are deeply embedded in a carnival theme of the Spielmann and fanfare band of the Überlingen Volunteer Fire Brigade, from which we originated and have since persisted.

Our music sounds at private parties as well as public events, where we delight the audience with our captivating sounds. This year we celebrate a remarkable anniversary: 50 Years of Badisch Pipes and Drums! Half a century full of passion, music, and unforgettable moments.

To celebrate this anniversary properly, we cordially invite you to our anniversary concert on September 28, 2024 in the Museum Garden of the municipal museum Überlingen. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Scottish bagpipe music and experience with us an unforgettable evening full of emotions and musical highlights.

But that's not all! For the past six years, we have also hosted our famous 'Scottish Highland Night', a tribute to Scottish culture in all its diversity. Here you will experience Scottish music, combined with readings of Scottish stories and the tasting of mostly rare Scottish whiskies. An evening that appeals to all senses and takes you on a journey through the Highlands.

To continue this tradition, we cordially invite you to our sixth Scottish Highland Night, which will take place on November 9, 2024 at the Gärtnerei Widmer, Überlingen. Experience the fascinating world of Scotland with music and stories from bygone times and taste exquisite Scottish whiskies in a cozy atmosphere.
